The visiting team from the North Central Association (NCA) conducted a rigorous review of Consortium College Preparatory High School in April. The process took two full days to determine if the school is deserving of re-accreditation. You can read about it by clicking this link: What is accreditation?
The team included six professionals from various backgrounds -- school administrators, teachers, and consultants from the Michigan Department of Education. They conducted extensive interviews with Consortium staff members, students, parents, and board members. They also spent time inspecting the building and observing classrooms in action. They carefully studied all of the documents and artifacts related to our continuing quality improvement.
At the end of their comprehensive review, the NCA team announced that Consortium was highly rated in all areas, with room for improvement in one. The school has earned "accreditation on advisement" status for the next five years. This is a milestone and an accomplishment for the entire CCPHS community. Congratulations!
